Signs and Wonders

A few days ago, an old man sitting on the side of the road, smiling out from under his broad-brimmed hat, blew me a kiss.

Fifteen minutes later, in a restaurant, a two-year-old boy did the exact same thing, exact same gesture.

I smiled and smiled.

Yesterday, a stranger stopped me in the grocery store and asked when the coffee shop is going to open, and we chatted for a minute.

In fact, a lot of people yesterday appeared to know who I am, or at least were much more friendly than normal. I felt very known, and wanted.

Drew, I can't tell you how much joy this gives me. This is exactly what I pray for you all the time - for companionship, for you to feel loved, welcomed, and known. He is good.

I want you to know that I'm teaching my kids about writing a blog. We're going to start one up and I want them to understand the freedom they have in them. I feel like they've been doing too many worksheets and they need to have some creativity. I'm using this one as an illustration.

Lance, I see children do it every now and then. I'm not really sure where they learn it, if they do it for anyone or just for the foreigner, what have you. But it makes me happy.

Thank you, Justin.

Aileen, do it.

And, other-Drew? First of all, I'm honored. Second of all, kids! I don't know how old you are, but if you're young, I should tell you that the big secret of life is that teachers think worksheets are boring, too.

If you're older... Hm.

Maybe I should tell you to be careful about how you use the rap music. It is a tool; not a weapon.
